I need help burning DC CD-Rs....

I have successfully made an Audio CD with .MP3s converted to .WAV
I have backed up my original Win98 SE CD and Nero CD

I have Dreamcast CD-Rs (backups) that I am trying to duplicate. This has become the bane of my existence. I have done this before at friend's houses on their old burners without a hitch.

I continue to get buffer underrun errors. Tech support could not figure it out. I have scoured the web for 2 days reading all sorts of info, but I am more confused than ever. I have to admit, as far as Burning goes, I have very little experience.

Buffer underrun is supposed to be when the buffer runs out of info and cannot supply the CD-RW with data, result: coaster (i've now got 17 of these). I've tried burning at 4x, 10x and 12x. "On the fly" and not. I'm not using the computer while burning (even though tech support told me that they played Quake while burning in the background).

What am I doing wrong (besides piracy ???

TIA

Ohlias
