3 things spring to mind:
1. While assembling yr PS2 you have not got a lead back in far enough or have nort put it back together quite right. Solution- Strip it down again and reassemble very carefully ensuring every lead and connection is made perfectly. 2. While you were modding you have soldered two chip legs together or have a splash of solder on part of ps2 that is causing it to malfunction. Solution- Strip PS2 down and go over the whole motherboard very carefully with a magnifyer or even better a microscope and ensure board is clean of shorts. 3. U have damaged ur PS2 while u were modding it and it will need repair. Does the PS2 still run DVD games and movies?
