It seems that you still need the 1.0 cracked exe as the only thing the 1.02 update changes is the general.dat file. So you use the 1.0 cracked exe and the 1.02 cracked general.dat to play without the CD.
Don't know about the online problem, don't do he online thing. Hope that clears this up for people on the NoCD part.
