C+C Generals Setup EXE.

I know this game has not been out 2 weeks, but I really need your help. The SETUP Exe (As well as the game Exe) is protected, and I can't get the damned thing installed whatever I do. This is a shop bought original by the way, not a copy or Warez. I've had similar problems with Westwood games before, and have posted similar posts to this. I must be sounding like a parrot by now!
Anyway, unless I can find a Safedisc cleaned install, I have had it, and won't be able to play the game. I've asked EA and Westwood, but have had no reply. I presume the Warez version has a cracked install! Does anyone know if this is correct? I'm only on 56k, so it would take weeks to get it. I've asked other forums, but they assume I'm a pirate because they don't understand my problem. I am simply trying everything to get my original discs up and running, and if I have to use cracks to achieve this then I will. This site used to post fixed Exe's for games (Mainly Westwood), but they are harder to find nowadays. Is anyone working on a fixed setup, as it would be invaluable to me (i.e. I could install the game!)? I have never or will never use Warez, but if it gets me the file I need to run this game I may have to try. I have changed my CDROM drive, but still have the same problem. Maybe it's the MOBO, I just don't know, but my machine and Westwood Safedisc just don't mix. Someone suggested I install the game on my friends machine, then copy all the files across to mine. Although they would then be uncompressed I suppose it could be done, but the main problem is the Registry. Would the Install contain hardware specific keys that won't copy to my machine? If I did get it to work, it would be a problem if I needed to Re-install Windows! This is giving me nightmares, and you shouldn't have this grief when you've shelled out 35 quid on a game should you? I can understand Westwood wanting to protect their games, but something is wrong when a Warezer can play it fine, and me who's bought it can't! If you don't understand my problem, please don't insult me. I am just looking for a solution to my genuine problem. Thanks
