swap magic no solder mod chip???( help)

just installed swap magic no solder mod chip.used nero,clone/alchohol120% to copy discs when i go through the motions of loading copied disc to ps2.(in a hurry as u have 2)the ps2 freezes.now is it my copies are no good or what ive checked mod make sure installed proper it is .are my cdr no good i am only copying cd versions of ps2 games.HELP WOULD COST ME A LOT LESS. DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD OUTLET FOR SCRAP CDRs
