Verb, Ritek or Datasafe - All are good media. I use Traxdata and Datasafe for DVD Backups and Datasafe only for CD-R backups and they all work flawlessly. Perfect. Anything with the deep Ritek dye and you can't go wrong.
Not many people have tried the datasafe CD-R media but I really recommend it - Really cheap and works better than the more expensive media in my experience. Datasafe are SUPERB!!!
