defective cd-rom(burned) in nortonsworks/not in cdcheck

i have burned data onto cds. until now i used cd-check for testing data and used cdspeed99 to check cd-rom-drive-quality. later i recognized that some cdroms were perfect in those programs but not in norton-system works. i reburned and all 3 programs say ok. cant i trust cdcheck99 anymore or is the new version improved?
one more question is the impossible testing of even newer burner in cdspeed99. does anybody know a tool to test cdr/rw-drives? BTW: the compare modus in cdcheck is fantastic, i have check 10 cds of which 3 i knew before had mistakes. cdcheck was 100% successful. but after my newer recognitions i doubt this.
