Need a help with ProtectCD VOB!!!

I tried to make a backup from Red Faction with Plextor 16x and cloneCD and it didn't work. Problem is that my Plextor doesn't read (write also???) subchannel info and that's why backup is not successfull (or at least that's what i suspect...). Is there a workaround solution how to overcome this prob?

Protection is ProtectCD VOB in the Red Faction (CD check, dummy files, illegal TOC, maybe something else).
