The Laser?

More proof that nobody here seems to have a clue what the knife trick involves.

You are not touching the laser, you are moving a white pin which moves all the time when you open the tray anyway.

It's basically like picking a lock, you are moving the lock by hand instead of using a key. This does not damage locks. Quite how this can damage the laser is beyond common sense.

You do not damage the drive tray unless you are very heavy handed.
