NTSC Games on PAL Ps2 with Magic 2 chip

Can someone please help, i have a Ps2 PAL with Magic 2 Chip and i am trying to play NTSC game however it always just comes up Black and White?? Do i therefore need a bigger Hz on my telly i think is it 60 as i just have a 50 one??

Also when i try to play a ripped iso on my Magic 2 it says incorrect fromat disc so i then have to put an original game in then reset and place ripped game in is this because its ripped and has no copyright?? So u have to have proper copy what should i use software wise??
