ripping dvd to dvd-r / dvd-rw using dvd decrypter , ifo editor & nero
another more goovey way i'm burning at the mo is to use dvd decrypter in conjuction with if editor, then burn using nero 5.5.9.17.
Proceedure: whack in your dvd, rip the correct vobs using dvd decrypter (3.1.3.4 is the latest). DVD decrypter will usually (i've only used it twice to rip out vobs so it may be odd) pick the correct vobs. If you don't know what vob's are - ask. Put all your vob's in a folder called TS_VIDEO grab a free programm from a google search on "ifo dvd editor" called ifo editor. Fire it up and click on create IFO's. Go with the defaults, and browse to the location of the first vob in the vob set (usually named n_0,n_1,n_3 etc, where n is a number). let it work through it's thang, creating the ifo file from the ripped vobs. Fire up nero 5.5.9.17 (latest), create a data dvd with TS_VIDEO on it (this contains all your vob's, plus the ifo generated from ifo editor), and burn away. Hopefully this will all fit on a 4.7 Gb dvd (all the specialfeatures + languages will have been ripped) and play on a standard dvd player. I'm trialling this as i write this, on dvd-rw, so i advise the same. Will report back on results - will trial on ps2 & pc (ao5 )Laters, Xboson
