Problem with eject (Nero/Plextor)

Hi,

Recently, my cd-writer have started to annoy me. Sometimes it refuses to eject the CD after a burn. I've closed the program and killed all "nero-related processes". I've ofcourse tried to eject the CD using the button on the front of the cd-writer, as well as trying to eject the CD from explorer (rightclick, eject from the menu)... still refuses to spit it out... a restart won't even do it... the only way to solve this is to power down my computer (which is my router/firewall... if i power it down, all my downloads are interrupted)... So PLEASE help me on this one :/

Oh, and if I close Nero and open it up again (without hardbooting my server), my writer isn't listed as an available recorder

What do you think? Hardware or Software problem?
Anyone with the same experience?
