Far West kicking back to desktop problem

I really need help on this one. I've tried everything and searched everywhere before posting.

The game starts out fine and within minutes of game play i get thrown back to the desktop in low 16 bit rez and sometimes high.

I am running a P4-1.7 with Xp Pro + SP1 + Radeon 8500 (128 ram) + Sblive+ 256 ram.

I have tried the rip and iso fix (i have the rip). This is the only game that is giving me this kinda problem.

HELP.
