Clony, etc not detecting protections correctly

I was trying to determine what protection scheme Descent 3 and Icewind Dale use. I tried using my original cds with Clony and a few other programs that are supposed to detect protections. But everytime it is saying that there is no/unknown protection.

All programs say they dectect LaserLock, which #####ing here I found that's what both Descent 3 and Icewind Dale are using. So my question is why can't I detect the protection scheme correctly? I tried both my Plextor 8/4/32 and my Samsung 10/40 DVD. I got the same result with both drives.
