cd copying info of course

Hey all, I'm new here and I have a situation I'd like resolved if possible...

I have an HP9100i cd writer I bought I guess almost 3 years ago now. Up until a few months ago I've been able to copy almost any game using CLONECD and I never needed cracks except for like 3 or 4 games. After reading some of the info in this forum I found out my burner most likely does not support Correct EMF-Encoding (I got this from the list of supported writers at the ccd homepage). I don't know what the he ll that means.

Does anyone know if I can still copy games without needing a crack for them afterwards (using my HP9100i)? I'm thinking the answer is no but I want to be sure. I'm assuming that using another program like Blindwrite won't make a difference am I correct?

If I can no longer make copies of cds anymore I guess I have to buy a new writer. My friend says that Lite-on is the best for copying all the new games, and that it can copy the new safedisk, and securom games. Can anyone tell me if they've been able to copy these new games?
