Thanks everyone!

Here's what ended up working just fine for me: The ojective was to protect the CD in case I need to re-install the game on a new PC, or if my hard disc fails, etc... I'm not trying to mass produce copies for sale or to give to my firends, I believe the devolpers deserve to earn a profit and a living from their work. But it also seems fair that we owners have the right to protect and always have a backup copy of what we bought.

So, I downloaded a "patch" that allows the fully installed program to run without the CD! Now I can play the game and keep the disc safely tucked away. Bethesda gets their money and I keep the cd somewhere safe. I've had damaged game discs before and it's not easy to obtain replacement ones sometimes.

Thanks for all the help, it worked!!
