There have been several different versions of the Generations Pack. The most recent has a Blue Cover (Indicating that the addon Blue Shift is inside). Get that one.
If all u wanna play is Counter Strike though. Dont buy the Generations Pack. Just buy the Budget version of Half Life, and download the mod version of Counter Strike. Your looking at least 200 megs worth of downloading. Or get the latest edition of any popular PC Games mag and get the patches from there.
