Is my cd writer fine for copying safedisk 2.8?

I have an MSI 48X16X48 cd writer (ms-8348) and am having problems trying to copy fifa 2003.

I can copy it fine and can install the game but when I come to insert disk 2 it crashes and states that the error is DF3946.TMP.

Now I guess that this is to do with the safe disk 2.8 copy protection. Im using cd clone version 4 and am also using clonyxxl.

Now what I want to know is this....

1) Is my cd writer able to copy the latest games that has safedisk 2.8?

2) Is it better than the Lite On or is it the same?

3) Any suggestions on how I can copy the fifa disk 2?

4) Does it also support the EFM encoding?
