Chessmaster 9000 making backup

Could anybody please tell me how to make a backup of Chessmaster 9000? I tried using clonecd program and making image and burning seemed to go fine. But the setup file crashes whenever i tried to run it. I tried doing it the old way of copying the contents to hdd then burning with nero but this time when try to install it says to insert a correct cd-rom. (I put in the right label for the cd burning) Anybody who has been successful with making a backup of this game please help me! Thanks!
