some thoughts 'bout sr

hmmm....i have somehow the feeling i missed things over the last few months...
however. i got the last few days different games. many of them were protected with securom. examples?
well: frontline attack, beach life, hitman 2, 1914, rct 2...thats all i can remember at this moment. (note that i'm talking bout the german versions)
my burner (lg 8320B) is normaly able to copy securom without probs. but there are a few facts that won't make copies work on my pc. mainly because the atip....and some more im too lazy to mention. however. a possibility was always to load them in emulators like daemon or alcohol 120%. hitman and frontline attack were no problem, 1914 was a lil bit harder, but i got it working. don't ask me how...long experiments...
beach life and rct 2 not.
they becoming smarter i guess. sr isn't just searching for the atip anymore - plz note that it's just a guess - the protection seems to look farther for backup tools and the emulation proggs themselve. or what is it doing? i mean, when the protection is able to localize where it is loaded and with what emulated using this and that function...well i guess we'll have to admire sony.
smart thinking. really smart...
but on the other hand i just read seomthing about securom "4". maby this is the missing link in my brain i need to know about, to understand what there is going on...

these are - of course - just a few thoughts that make me curious, through the last days i was dealing and also experimenting with cd's wearing the DADC logo.

things are complicated these days...*headshakin'*

what du think?

kindest regards,
stealthsnake
