HP 9110i + CloneCD + Sfaedisc v2

I have a Hewlett Pachard 9110i CD-Writer with firmware 1.0c and am using CloneCD 2.8.2.1 to try and backup safedisc v2 protected games. The problem I am having is that when them game loads (i.e. at the point where it checks the cd protection) I get an illegal operation error in a .TMP file. I have tried backing up NOLF and Hitman, but I gat the same error in exactly the same file both times. I have tried re-copying the image file and re-burning it, but I still get the error. In CloneCD I use the following settings:

Copy to image file:
Read Subchannel Data from Data Tracks
Read Subchannel Data from Audio Tracks

Copy from image file to CD-Writer:
Always Close Last Session

I both read and write at 4X and use RAW DAO mode. Please help me as this is very frustrating!
