FTF's OFP Resistance Clone Cd

I wanted to back up my Original Operation Flashpoint Resistance cd using Clone Cd, but since I have a HP 8200i burner, thats not going to be possible.

So I found a Clone Cd version of Resistance released by FTF and tried to run it. It works fine with 1.75. But when I installed the 1.85 patch, the game wouldn't run. It would just crash to desktop.

I'm guessing theres no point in making Clone Cd versions of software because the software companies use a new copy protection version with their latest patch

Anyone else tried installing FTF's Clone Cd of Resistance and get it to run fine with the 1.85 patch?
