Sony Burners ??????????

Hello everybody!

I have a big question for you guys and gals.
I interested in buying a DVD burner. For a long time i was looking at the Pioneer's DVR-A04 but a recent entry by sony Sony DRU-500A on a multi-platfrom driver came out. My question is, If i try to copy some of My Playstation 2 games has sony put some kind of software that will block or restrict my ability to copy that disc because it is a sony disc? I have heard of his happening but only by word of mouth is it true.
