patching games ( error message )

i am trying to patch a playstation game so that i can play it on my 9001 mod chip psx. i downloaded the patch from megagames for grind session. i also downloaded the ppf patching program for windows. i created a .bin file in cdrwin and used ppf to apply the patch. when i went to burn the "patched" game to a cd using cdrwin i loaded the cuesheet and it brought it up ... then i clicked start recording and it brought up an error saying ; ERROR : START DAO RECORDING .. then it said that my device ( burner ) is unable to set parameters .. does anyone know what this means .. by the way am i supposed to be burning in RAW mode or just making the .bin file .. cause my burner must not support RAW recording cause its grayed out and i cant check it .. is that the problem ?
