i live in holland and
i'm tired of my pc and i'm thinking about purchasing a console... i think it's gonna be a playstation2....though i have some questions which i hope you can answer

i think i'm gonna build a modchip in it, but is it hard to do? i've never solded (??) anything... is this a job a newbie can do?
or should i look for a premodded playstation 2

also which modchip should i choose
so far i've come across magic2, messiah and neo 2.2
neo 2.2 is by far the cheapest, but are there things that neo2.2 cant do besides the fact you must swap to play some games?
edit: or maybe a no solder chip? (cheapie)


on this forum i found a link to a store who sells these magic chips cheap...though if i purchase these i have to install them myself or find someone nearby who can do it for me.... does someone know who in holland (or europe) does these modchips installations | | i live nearby eindhoven

last but not least, which version ps2 will i get when i purchase one at this time? (v1-7)
