the original dvd game u are using to boot the back-up must have a larger TOC than the back-up.
I think this is ur problem most ppl use Devil may cry as a dvd bootdisk because it has the largest TOC ( at present) sollution...... Install messiah/magic 2! no swaps just insert the back-up and boot Messiah & magic 2 rock! all other chips are crap in comparison.
