Backup problems with Imac

When making a backup of Stuntman, Using DVD Extractor 0.9 on OS 9.2 the computer stops at 50% of reading the disc and the dvd searches. This searching went on for 1/2 hour before I gave up. Medal of Honor worked for PS2 using same proceedure I found earlier in this forum.

I tried using OSX and opening DVD Extractor under Classic 9, this worked but toast could not read it as a file. So far Im up to 3 coasters.

Are there any better solutions for Imac?
Pioneer 104 Super combo drive.
Toast 5.0.2 (and 5.1.4) MoH burned with the earlier version of toast.
Please help my wife hasn't seen me in a week......
