Prisoner of war

Hi guys
I just hmm.."aquired" a copy of prisioner of war Fairlight release.
The problem is that when i goto do a little action ie climb a wall the game automatically flips back to my windoze screen. I am running Win XP with the detonator 4 driver pack for myt graphics card.
Is anyone else having the same probs or can you reccommend how to fix it?
Also the file extension of the iso is .img what is the best software reccommended for buring this file type? Cdr-win wont be supported by my cd burner I used Clone to burn the image. Could this maybe my prob?
