Help on burning

Hi all,

I have a PAL brand new Xbox, modded with an X-ecuter !
Being totally new to Xbox, I have some questions, hopefully someone can help me?

I have tried to burn wwf raw and epsn nba2night on CD-RW verbatim 700 MB.
Wwf raw loads fine, but freezes at the wwf logo.
Epsn nba2night tells me that the disc is invalid (the game actually starts to load, but stops with a black screen telling me it is invalid).

My questions is : is there a NTSC/PAL kind of protection on those games that makes them not work?
Or is it just the burning which failed?

I don't think it is due to the CD-RW, since they appear to boot (I tryed before on CD-R verbatim, and the xbox told me the disc weren't recognized).
