DVD backups

I have a ps2 model 3004R with the Rmod No soldier chip.

I have no problem copying ps2 cd's on my cd-recorder and playing them on my ps2.

Now I want to move on and start copying DVD's

I have searched arround for the best dvd recorder in the market for copying DVD games but haven't concluded yet.
COLOR=firebrick]Could somebody please suggest which DVD writer should I buy?[/COLOR]

Also I know that I need an original DVD that is bigger than the copied DVD, so the swap will work.

I searched for game sizes and I found that the biggest games are: Time Crisis 2 and GTA3 with a size of 4.37 Gb.

Has anybody tried playing dvd backups with these original dvd for swapping?
Is there any newer tittle that has a bigger size than this?.

Please help me, so I wont find my self buying unnececarry things.
