Yes.... I'm from the US...(Tennessee to be exact..)
When you order the PS2... Don't even bother telling them anything about the converter...(they don't have IT) Go to radio shack and tell them you want " A 150w power convertor to convert the US 110V to the PAL 220V" Sometimes, depending on who you are dealing with you will have to be VERY SPECIFIC...... Tell them "I need a converter that will convert my home electricity of 110V to european 220V"  And also..... TAKE THE CORD that comes with the PS2 with you..... Show it to them to make sure they understand what you want..... It has the 2 prong european plug on it.....
