why do some games freeze when you reach a certain level?

I use clone cd and have backed up most of my games, I use clony xxl to set the settings (which are usually always the same anyway).. 3 games that I have seem impossible to copy without there being some kind of problem... The Legend of Dragoon freezes up in Kazas level... RC Revenge freezes up on the title screen and Nascar Rumble Freezes on the last level's loading screen....Does anyone have an idea why? Keep in mind over 50 other titles backed up the same way with the same setting work perfect... And I did patch Legend of Dragoon...
