Digimon World 2

I have an .iso image of Digimon World 2 I downloaded from eDonkey.
When I burned it to CD using Nero it fails to boot in the PSOne.
I have downloaded what I think is a patch for this game (pdx-pdmt.ppf) ..now all I need to know is what to do with it !!
You see I`ve never patched a PSX game before...is there a link to detailed instructions on how to do this ? (preferably in `laymans` terms)
