I like to play the update 1.12 of Arx Fatalis, german version, but I don't like to insert the original game disc every time I start the game. By mounting the CD-Image using Daemon-Tool 3.16 (read the posting of juergen, 05-08-2002, in the thread 'Arx Fatalis') the game sometimes starts but sometimes not. Moreover requires this method 690 MB additional discspace.
By using the writer Lite-On LTR-32123S it seems to be impossible to make a working 1:1 copy of the game 'Arx Fatalis'. The 'writer' can read and write subchannel-data and handles irregular EFM-encoding. I have tested it with CloneCD v4.0.1.10 and Blind Read/Write v4.0.5.40/48 but the copy doesn't work. My first question: WHY ?? The Game is protected with securom*new*. I have also tested the program 'unsecurom' to remove the protection from the main executable. But the version 1.0 of unsecurom crashes during the process. My second and third question: Is there a NEWER version of unsecurom out ?? Is there anywhere a working no-cd crack out for the UPDATE 1.12 ??
