more related to dvd-movies

o.k a few questions to the ao3/ao4 users about dvd-movie backup

ps2 dvd's - dvd-r work a charm 100% success

my question is whats going on with dvd movies I bought a few when i was oversea's (bali) and have been copying them without hassel on an a04

anything thats released here on the street seems to be way too big to fit on a 4.7gb dvd-r I have heard about splitting the movie onto 2x 4.7gb disks but that sucks, everything i got overseas is the full movie and maby a couple of trailers on a 4.7gb disk what are the bootleggers doing?

I think they are extracting the main video files and building their own menu screens using photoshop to give the users access to the movie. sounds faily straight forward, on a few though they still have the scene selection stuff from the original too.

how do i go about learning to do this?
Guides?? DVD-copy forums???

I have a mac G4 with DVD studio pro and Pioneer-104...
could also use my girlfriend pc and put the 104 into that she runs windows 98.

should I wait for a dvd-r drive that can burn the DVD9 format/size disks??
I hear a few ps2 games will be coming out that are om the DVD9's

if so are there any IDE DVD9 burners on the market ????
What about DVD9 media does/will it work in an a04 the same way standard 650MB cd-r's worked in cd-r drives and then later the 700MB ones came out???

Any help or links anyone could give me would be appreciated

Thanks,
Elkay
