Just Brought PS2

Hi everybody i've finally given in & brought a PS2 after years of my old Playstation that's still going strong with at least 200-300 backups.

I need some help, I have ordered a Messiah Mod-Chip & I was wondering if it's still the same set up as the PS1 games??

Can you still use your CDRW with Clone CD to copy the games or is it time to invest in a DVD burner?

If anyone could give me the gist of things I would be most grateful.
