BG...Curious about the EFM
Just curious--the EFM Encoding.....is that something to do with the error correction schemes? I know some drives won't work because they will still do error correction even if the software tries to bypass it. Is that what the 524 does?
If so, then he is definately screwed because the first 22 sectors will be FUBAR, right? Or would zeroed out dummy files be of any use? Just a bit perplexed about what the drive WON'T do, trying to see if we can work around it somehow. Thanks! Raist
