I went and put the 40x12x48 external USB 2.0 TDK velocd CDRW on layaway a few days ago, but now that I am thinking about it, I wonder if that is the one to get, if I am going to buy a 40x CDR. I read on the gamecopyworld.com website that when using Plextor drives, you want to downgrade the firmwear if possible, because the newer ones will not work to copy "perfect" cd's.
Seems like a 40x will have the latest firmwear possible. (the article was comparing 12x or 24x plextors I think). CompUSA has like 4 or 5 different 40x writers available. Anyone know which recorder will have the most features, for copying perfect CD's? I have an HP 8x now, which seems to make perfect copies, but I couldint get it to burn a music cd in windows xp, and it's slow anyway, so here I am looking at a 40x. It's got to be a USB 2.0 external drive, because I am going to get a desknote in a month or so, and I want to be able to use it with it. Thanks in advance. |
