Question about epsxe

Ok downloaded epsxe I think I configured it right but when I go to use it in says go to bios and configure can any body help me Im new to this and I have been working on it all day. A step but step would help I have followed instructions elsewere but cant get it going.Also do you just insert your game into your CD Rom then in epsxe go to file then run cd rom. thanks Leanne
