Making PS2 DVD-R BACKUPS

I have a PNP V4 Modchip and I have made a few DVD-R backups but they dont work.

I was wondering if there was a special way to make backups of these games

Right now i am just using the Nero Burning Rom DVD copy utility. If there is a better way please tell me!
