Patching ssx snowboarding

Hi i've got a neo chip not sure which one, AR 1.4 uk ps2 the game is also. The game worked with cog method before i had the ps2 chipped but now it doesn't boot. It passes tthe AR screen then goes black spins for a bit then stops. Does anyone know how to fix this.
