Max Payne on my new computer with XP...

I can´t install Max Payne on my new computer.It´s an 1.5Ghz P4 256 ram SBLive5.1 Win XP..
It worked on my older computer Celeron535Mhz 128 ram TNT2 Win98...now it can´t open disk1\data2.cab file...ERROR:wrong function.....what can I do??PLZ help me...I must play this game..
