burning on different size cds make any diff

Hi every1.

If i were to backup a game thats on a 650MB disk does that neceserilly mean i can only burn it onto a 650MB blank disk or can i use a 700MB blank disk and it will work exactly the same as using the 650MB blank disk but just with the extra space left on it???????????
