Stupid Invaders

Ok, backed up stupid invaders, God only knows what for. But the save game button has dissapeared. I have read there is new protection that will disable some functions and features of games. Is this what is happening here ?
Its 4 cds with the only protection according to cd protect detect 0.6 is overburn on all cds.
