i don't know how to do smooth control tho.
what i'm doing is simply just set the value as below.

Vol := (InputVolPct - 100) * 100;
DirectSoundBuffer.SetVolume(Vol)

if anyone knows a better way let me know.

This makes changing the volume a little smoother.
