yes you can copy direct from original just the same way as you would a ps1 game......
i use clonecd i have no problems so far using it... you need a neo2 chip with action replay ver 1.3 for uk ps2 or gameshark ver 1.3 for us ps2 which acts as a boot disk similar to the way the dreamcast boot disk works it stops the disk then you insert backup...hope this helps....
