SSX problems

I have a chipped ps2, and can play backed up ps2 games using AR2 disc. Have tried copying SSX but copy won't work on my system. I have tried CloneCD, Nero, WinOnCD, and adaptec but none work. Has anyone else had trouble with this one? any suggestions appreciated
