definatly need modchip because nothing will copy the region coding
on the psx disk the chip injects this code on startup if you are using clonecd i would use this for all psx games ive never had a coaster with it buy your chip from psxmodchip.freeserve.co.uk dead cheap never had a dud chip from there e-mail me if you want any more info good luck
