dos commads

I'm trying to apply the patch to NHL faceoff 2001. I'm using the cdrwin to burn. I'm using the instructions off of megagames.com. I'm stuck on these steps:
Extract the Patch Archive to the path containing the CD-Image file.
Open a DOS-Box/MS-DOS Prompt and change directory to the path containing the CD-Image file (and patch).
I don't know dos commands. What are the commads for changing the directory to the path containing the CD-Image file. Could someone please help me with this?
