DABhand is on a distinguished road
Dont worry about a reflectivity test...

The best test is the "how well can I see my hand behind the disc" test..

Hold the dvd with your hand behind the disc (i.e. the palm of your hand facing the top of the disc) look from the dye side, if you can see the outline of your hand very well, the disc is not good and the dye very light (and if you have a good brand then you have bought a fake disc, which have been reported lately)

All dyes should be dark or deep in colour.

Also make sure you bought an A or A+ grade disc, if the person who sold you said they were and your discs have marks or scratches then he lied to you.
